Lights, Camera, Run Around Hollywood Studios Like A Chicken With Your Head Cut Off!

First things first, we survived our first night in the tent with no major problems! I see this as a major achievement, and am therefore quite proud of it. Nobody died, there were no sudden squirrel attacks, and the tent didn't collapse/blow away/spontaneously combust. So there's that.

We woke up bright and early, excited to head over to Disney's Hollywood Studios for the day. Personally, my enthusiasm was dampened by the fact that our comfort station (bathrooms/showers) had no hot water, but I was not going to let that ruin my day! Side note: these comfort stations are amazingly nice. Way cleaner/nicer than any dorm bathroom I've seen. Huge perk that our campsite is right next door to the comfort station as well, no long walks for us!

After packing our lunches and snacks for the day, we headed over to Hollywood Studios. After a short wait in traffic, we were inside the park. Again, as we did with Animal Kingdom, here is a list of highlights from our time within the park:

Us with the Sorcerer's Hat!
 - We were able to do everything inside the park, thanks to the magic of intensively planning out every minute and Fast Passes. Even a few deviations from the plan didn't stop us from riding every ride and seeing every show we wanted to.

 - Once we got into the park, we grabbed Fast Passes for Rock 'N' Rollercoaster, and immediately rode Tower of Terror. As Tower of Terror was the unanimous favorite ride, we were able to ride it twice, which was awesome.

We survived!

All of us were terrified.
 - Colleen and Robert auditioned for The American Idol Experience! While they didn't make it, the judges had nothing but great things to say about them. When we came back for the show, all of us were blown away by how much fun it was, and how similar it was to American Idol on TV. While I personally think the winner from our show didn't deserve it, it was still a great time.

Our American Idol contestants!
 - The Pixar and Pals parade was fun/weird, as even the human Pixar characters all had the typical large head masks on that Mickey and co. wear, and it was slightly peculiar. Still a good time!

See what I mean? Slightly terrifying.

She don't love you no mo', big baby.

 - We ate dinner at Pizza Planet, because we were all suckers for Toy Story. We immediately followed up dinner with the Toy Story Mania ride, and I am proud to announce that I had the highest score out of all of us. I think I deserve a trophy, or something.

Brr! It's so cold in Florida!

Courtney and I on the backlot.

 - We ended our day with Fantasmic, and then came back to Fort Wilderness after spending almost a full twelve hours in the park. We're all heading to bed soon, so we can get up bright and early for Magic Kingdom tomorrow!

Robert really excited about waking up early for Magic Kingdom!
Here's hoping we can fend off the squirrel attacks for another night, and that we don't get eaten by bears. G'night!

  2. I was sad there was no blog post song suggestion for this, so I had to improvise by listening to Aerosmith and drinking water out of my Hollywood studios mug. It definitely enhances the blog reading experience :)
